Our Purpose

The focus of eDOT's (electronic Discipleship, Outreach, and Training) ministry is to use today's electronic technology to build up the church in Europe so that every person is within reach of a witnessing fellowship.

Discipleship: Utilizing distance learning strategies, eDOT is helping to train the next generation of Christian leaders. CD and Internet based Bible courses and partnerships with European Bible colleges and seminaries enable eDOT to provide quality biblical education to thousands of Europeans who are unable to afford time or funds for training at residential Bible colleges. Through eDOT's distance learning programs, pastors and lay leaders are able to study the Bible and obtain theological training at home or church, in their own language, and at an affordable price. In addition to Bible knowledge, students develop quality relationships with Bible college teachers and other students. Being able to immediately apply what they are learning to their own lives and their local ministry is a powerful tool for spiritual growth.

Outreach: Through eLearning Centers, European believers can develop relationships with members of the community. An eLearning Center becomes a magnet, attracting people who might otherwise never enter the church. One Romanian pastor has helped to cultivate over 1,000 new relationships through his eLearning outreach programs. Significant numbers of people have been added to the body of Christ as a result of this outreach. We also help produce evangelistic courses that are offered online as well as through CDs.

Training: Local churches are trained so that eLearning centers can be used effectively for evangelism as well as computer training for Christian workers. Facilitator training and instruction in course design are two key components of our ongoing distance education work. We also provide training and assistance to Bible Colleges and seminaries throughout Europe in establishing their own distance education programs. By supplying these very practical tools for ministry and training Europeans to use them, we create partners in ministry "who will be able to teach others also."
