A Strong Leader with a Servant Heart

“What is the future of this eLearning Center?” the American visitor asked the director of the Vasilivka eLearning Center in southeastern Ukraine.
“The future depends upon the engine.  You need a strong engine to pull a train.  The future of this or any eLearning Center depends upon how strong the director is,” answered Genadie.  Genadie is a full-time businessman, a part-time pastor, and the director of the Vasilivka eLearning Center.  He has seen many computer users at the eLearning Center since it opened in 2003 and began offering courses in Bible and computer usage.
Two of the computer users are Evgenie and Andrie, both members of the local church connected with the eLearning Center. Both men are married, both have young children, and both work at the local plant that produces sunflower oil, one of Ukraine's most important products.  Having learned to use computers at the center, they both took Bible courses that helped them become more responsible, knowledgeable Christians.
Two other computer users are 13-year-old Artyom and 14-year-old Nadya.  Both were taught to use computers by Alona, Genadie's daughter. (Click here to read her story.)  In addition to leading The Future of Ukraine Club for young teens in their church, Alona teaches teens to use computers and helps them with Bible courses.
What is the future of this eLearning Center?  The future is Alona, Nadya, and Artyom, as well as Andrie and Evgenie, and the many others who use the center to study the Bible and increase their computer skills.  They are the cars on the train being led by the strong driver of the engine, Genadie.  Yes, the eLearning Center has a grand future!
