Searching the Web for Jesus Christ

 Have you ever done a Google search for Jesus Christ? If so, what did you find? If you were a Russian, you would most likely find out about a distance learning course on the Life of Christ. Elena, who found the course on the
Web, expressed her joy like this: “I am very glad that I got on your site. It was ‘by chance,' though with God accidents don't happen.”
The Life of Christ course was released in May
2004 through Bible Mission International (BMI) in partnership with eDOT. BMI has offered courses from Moody Bible Institute in Russian through the mail for
over a decade—over 7,000 people have enrolled in their courses! They were poised to take advantage of the new technology available to today's world and asked eDOT if we would be willing to help them make the endeavor a reality. eDOT has been able to help with technical advice, funding, course design, and in coordinating communication with Moody.
Two Ukrainians, Andrew and Ivan (see photo on the right), played a key role in developing the course.
They continue to oversee it by answering questions that people email in and
by administering the automated tests and homework.
Since
the release of the Life of Christ
course, 325 students have registered to take the course and another 115 have asked for the CD.
One such student, Artem, wrote, “Allow me to thank you for a remarkable course. I have already passed 3 lessons and my interest in studying the course continues to grow.”
How is the course presented? With video clips from the
Jesus film, photos, interactive maps, and charts, which all help to make the true story of Jesus Christ come alive.  Stas and Sveta wrote to say, “The training has helped us to understand the person Jesus and helped us more deeply understand the
Gospel.”
